We can agree to disagree here but I like his MC ** . tendu was boring too ,but a class nonethless
Dhoni is such a gem of a skipper that he has focused so much on teams fielding and batting that they still end up winning most of the matches. they won WC with the worse bowling line up ( obviously I still feel the final was fixed ) but than again India is at its prime. Another 2 more years and Australia will rise again they are on a rebuilding process.
What is boring suppose to mean ? , TENDULKER WAS NOT BORING ! .. it brings glitter to my eyes watching him play strokes to perfection. .... let me guess are you 18 below ? cause that's not how you define cricket or maybe your too much involved in T20 that you have forgotten class. Come on man boring kia bakwas hai lol ... Cricket is a gentleman game. Jaysuriya and lara were aggressive but never abusive.
Tendulkar was boring in the sense ki he was timid but a class batsman no doubt ..
In ODIs? Nope. Kohli is a class above everyone else in ODIs. He can set a target, chase a very difficult target and everything else and the best is that he doesn't choke under pressure.
And Kohli has controlled his emotions very well lately. We don't see much of that unecessary aggression from him anymore.
Can you prove that Amla is better than Kohli? What makes Amla better than Kohli in ODIs?
If Cricket is all about stats which you mentioned there regarding Amla vs Kohli ASLI-PATHAN
Then you cannot dispute that Tendulkar is the best or 2nd best batsman in history :shrug , but you're not willing to accept that.
don't know why people have problem with his unnecessary aggression? Not to forget he is only 24..
I agree. I mean, even Shoaib was like that in the beginning no? He even used to curse his team mates and what not, never seen anyone have a problem with that....
Some Pakistani's tend to be such hypocrites at times.
When we won the 1st T20 against India the country was going nuts. Uptill 2-3am people were dancing and having the time of their lives. When India beat us in the 3rd ODI they complained how the Indian team were celebrating as if they've won the World Cup.
uh...this isnt the best example. We won the ODI series and they won a dead rubber match
Edit. Wrong thread.
while defending a mere total of 163 with a bowling line up which is considered worst in the world . I would have celebrated as well
Against a batting line up which is considered worst in the world.
compare pakistan's celebration as underdogs when they won the series to India's celebration when they won the 3rd odi
The same batting line up whose top order was in form of life in that series
and Pakistani batting> Indian bowling , this has always been a case
lol pak has always been better t20 side then India , not sure why you referred them as underdogs
No, and by the way my views on that match and Pakistan's batting v India's bowling has nothing to do with this thread. Virat Kohli in my opinion will be the world's best in the next 1/2 years if he isn't already.
not the t20 series, the 50 overs one.
At the end of the 3rd match India had some fun...you would have thought they won the world cup, or at least teh series. (see video below at 7:13)
check post 172 , he was talking about first t20 game win celebrations
uhh..he was talking about both I believe
Anyways, I'm going to stop derailing the thread now :lol
163 was obviously easy to chase ... one word " Fixed "
As much as Pakistanis celebrate in joy the indians would've butchered them if they had lost ODI series, after loosing t20 series. like nowadays Ishant is worse than hitler and hardly any indian is praising Faulkner .. He played one hell of a knock, if this was some Indian player smashing all over the ground, the indian public would praise him. Indians need to appreciate the other player or team , Dhoni for once never mentioned Faulkner's inning , all he was cribbing about that I dont have a death bowler , my death bowlers ... Rondu ...... someone tell him dude you choose your team, so dont whine. you cant always win. be a man and give credit to the Aussies.
lol here comes your conspiracy theorists
You guys were celebrating as if you has won the WC lol, you people still lost the ODI series. And if you actually watched the series only Jamshed was in form and somewhat form for Younus, Hafeez. When Jamshed got out early the whole team did.
Jamshed scored 2 centuries.
Younus and Hafeez scored a fifty each in 3 matches
Azhar, Misbah, Kamran failed. Chota Akmal got only one match.
Jamshed was the spine of our batting in that series, when he failed the whole team collapsed. Our batsmen otherwise were in horrible form.
If Kohli for some reason quit even now he'd be remembered as a great one day batsman. Despite being relatively unproven in tests Kohli's one day record especially in the chase is breathtaking.
1st innings in South Africa. No red ball practice in those conditions. No test away from home since January 2012. In the No.1 test sides home, Facing the No.1 test fast bowling attack against the No.1 test bowler in the world and he scores a hundred.
Kohli is an alien who's come from a different planet just to play Cricket.
He is a FTB.
He is worse than Chris Martin.
Dont insult Chris Martin.
Great innings today against some hostile bowling, true match winner
On his way to being the best in the world across all formats.
Another fine innings from him . future ATG
90's was all about Sachin and Dravid.
2000's will be Kohli and Pujara.
Great innings again by Kohli! Guy is a beast! Would love to see him get his 2nd hundred of the match. Slowly moving his average towards that 50 mark in test cricket.
What would Pakistan do to have a player with such skill?
India have instantly found such good bats after their seniors have retired, really good going/grooming in Indian domestic cricket for batsmen especially.
FTB.Couldnt score 100s in both innings.Tells you that his century in 1st innings was a fluke.
Always knew he would come good in SA.
His technique is rock solid, but it's his mentality which enables him to bring the best out of him, otherwise he would have been another Rohit Sharma.
Pujara as well.
