Both are similar in the sense that they built their teams from scratch and it took their long struggles to put their teams on world map!! I rate Misbah higher simply cus he was not just a batsman but a complete package, captain, tactician, strategist and brilliant mind!!
Sachin was a better batsman probably the best in the world but as a cricket mind, I rate Misbah higher!!
2007 t20 world cup was the biggest bad luck of Misbahs career. He could have become an aggressive captain and player had that match gone in his favor cus he had just almost clutched victory out of jaws of defeat!!
Thats his go to shot just went wrong at the worst possible time. Joginder Sharma did not have pace for Misbah to pull off that shot!! Just bad luck can happen to anybody!! 87 WC Final somebody from England tried to play reverse sweep and handed Australia the World Cup. Younus Khan got out on 313 playing reverse sweep in Karachi!! But that was the match whole world had their eyes on! Misbah grabbed the attention of the world at big stage in that tournament!!
There was no need at all to take that risk when he had just hit a 6. pakistan needed 6 from 4 balls. No need for anything extravagant. Should have played normally.
What happens is when you hit somebody over his head for a six you are expecting a yorker down the leg side which is exactly what he got, just that his execution of the shot was not right and pace of the bowler was too slow for that shot...
Tendulkar can be compared more with Younus Khan whereas Misbah maybe compared with Laxman, Ganguly, Dravid or Sehwag.

as batsman I would pick Tendulkar even though his 100 will go in vain as a captain I would pick Misbah in a heartbeat, Sachin was imo the worst captain from Asia
