For the first time since 2010 Asad Shafiq is dropped from the test team. Thanks God.

Asad Shafiq is a huge drop. Good to see honestly. What a loser.

Amir binned. Good stuff. He's just a specialist slow ball bowler now. That depressing display at the national T20 must have been the final nail in the coffin.

Decent squad overall, especially with Shafiq finally been kicked out. Saud really should have been picked but the likes of Azhar, Fawad will definitely flop in NZ and open the door for Saud for the RSA home series.

“We are investing in development of new and young players” (and hence we dropped Amir) Misbah.

But has Misbah given the rishta of his sisters to Sohail Khan and Chacha Ifti?

Amir has lost his potency and could be dropped (even though NZ conditions could suit his bowling), and I wouldn’t mind, but he is still better than Sohail Khan and Wahab Riaz combined.

Yup, Amir is miles ahead of Sohail & Wahab. I also noticed Amir performs best in presser situations, may be he should be used for death bowling only (in T20) and 5 of his overs in last 10 in ODI.
