Arafat 4-0-38-3 & 0(1)
Sussex lost the game.
Azhar Mahmood: 17(12) and 3.5-1-25-1
Surrey lost the game.
Junaid has been fantastic so far in this county season. Recently he has been carted around in the death overs in international cricket so its good to see that he has the ability to bowl tight overs at the death.
Remember that the guy who resigned him for Lancs is now the current England coach and is widely respected in the coaching circuit. To me it shows that he is quite highly rated.
Interestingly Paul Allot made a sarcastic comment about his jump at the start of his run up saying that ' If he was English he would have had it coached out of him'. Its quite true and it something that we should give our coaches credit for, generally they don't overcoach bowlers.
Lol! Peter Moores is far from respected and is living off the Championship in his first year! Lancashire did not progress in the other 2 years! Even Geoffrey Boycott does not rate him! He has not had a good start as well... He's a poor coach really as he sticks to tried and tested policies
Ajmal: 7/63 in 1st innings vs Hampshire. Including wicket of Glenn Maxwell.
He also made 24* off 21 balls in the 1st inns.
36 wickets for Saeed Ajmal in 6 matches for Worcestershire so far
Why tagging me ? Getting wickets of these lallu players in county cricket isn't a big deal. My point is still valid, he needs to retire from t20 format.
If we go by these counties, then players like Yasir Arafat, Ramparkash, Mushtaq Ahmed etc would have been ATG.
had afridi taken 2 wickets you and his fans would have done 10 backflips. Why not appreciate the efforts. If they are lallu players can you take their wicket?
why bring afridi in it ? yeah i had offer to play but i declined.
cuz that will hit the spot.
not my fault if you have a mancrush over afridi and bring him in every discussion
thats where you are wrong..and talking about man crushes you should be the last person. Why else would you keep on backing up a mediocre player. Khair let me know when afridi performs in the domestic circuit like this.
this is where you are showing your insecurities.. i commented on a player performance in counties and you have to defend him by bringing Afridi into equation.. shows how weak your stance is, wholly dependent on afridi.
keep saying that to yourself until youa re satisfied.
FYI, re-read my post that got you all worked up and see what my point was. Didnt mean to offend you by comparing performances with your lovely hero.
still carrying on with the same garbage
I know man. Some afridi fanboys. Makes other repel him even if they dont hate him like in this case.
Passionate Pakistani is right! These counties batsman can hardly hold a bat against spin hence Mushy got 100 wickets in
Division 1 twice! Ajmal is in Division 2! SNS still his current form is impressive!
I don't know why they are tagging me.. I only questioned his t20 form lately and let's be honest, he isn't the same t20 bowler
And now they are tagging me in his FC stats..
tusi vaday philosopher
I agree! His T20I performances have been poor lately and he should retire to let a youngster play but I highly doubt it as then he will be looking over his performances! Here, 1 performance in a Mickey-
Mouse league and people forget his past poor form! These fans are Goldfishes!
You've been talking about Ajmal as a bowler for a while now, I'm just showing you his performance.
Mickey Mouse league? :lol It's County Cricket, this isn't an English IPL
Ajmal takes 6-19 in the 2nd innings to help Worcs win over Leics
T20 performances of 13 Jun 2014
Ajmal: 1/29 (4)
Junaid: 3/30 (4)
Shoaib: 29 (23) & 2/21 (3)
All three teams won their games.
Ajmal also made 27 runs and took 1/46 in the 1st inns of this match.
Turning into a bit of an allrounder ? :thinking
So by your logic Yasir Arafat is a legend and should be selected for Pakistan at international level?
Except Ajmal can back it up on the intl circuit?
What were his returns in last t20 world cup ?
You've contradicted yourself as you were hyping the quality of the league and now shift your view as your original argument was discredited!
1/18 (4) vs India. Not much he could do after Pak was bowled out for a low score. India played him cautiously as they didn't need quick runs. Still managed a wicket.
1/33 (4) vs Aus. Took the crucial wicket of Finch and gave just 1 run in his last over in a tense chase.
2/20 (3) vs Bangladesh. Pretty good performance IMO.
His only poor performance came against WI where he had figures of 0/41 in 4 but surely you can have a bad day at times ?
He is ranked #1 in T20 bowling rankings and all experts as well as current players rate him highly. That is why Aus have hired Muralitharan as their spin consultant.
Malik: 0/24 (4) and 21* (15) in a match winning effort for Warks vs Northants.
Where did I say County league is more important than intl, Ajmal is good on both fronts
What AA said
lol yeah you forgot how he was taken to cleaners by Maxwell, Bravo and Sammy.
He picked up only 4 wickets in the tournament at an average of 28 :clap economy of 7.5 and strike rate of 22.5
yeah they are very good stats for so called number one bowler in this format.. achar dal do iss ranking ka when tailenders are hitting you for sixes
Maxwell was taking everyone to the cleaners. Ajmal came back superbly in last 2 overs. His last over was very crucial in winning us the match.
Sammy took Aus bowlers to the cleaners as well. And as I said that match was a poor one for Ajmal
And none of Sammy, Bravo, Maxwell are tailenders.
his overall performance in world cup was below par.. stop dissecting it into overs.
County players can't play spin so anyone who spins it a little will trouble them! He struggled in his last Test series against SL and in the recent T20 World Cup where he misfired for 50% of the games! That ain't the sign of a world-class performer!
Stop judging Ajmal on one series tournament. His last few months have been below par but cosider his last 3/4 years and he has been excellent.
