Last year Australia had one of the worst possible win-loss ratio in odis..losing series everywhere and dropped to number 6. But it seems like they are gaining momentum at the right time
and look in a very good shape going into worldcup with most of their players in great form.

Besides they have all areas covered, even the spin department.

    Look at their options

    Openers -
    Finch
    Khwaja
    Warner

    Middle Order-
    Khwaja
    Marsh
    Smith
    Hamdscomb
    Ashton Turner

    Lower Order/Allrounders
    Maxwell
    Stoinis
    Mitchel Marsh

    Keeper-
    Carey
    Hamdscomb
    Wade

    Spinners-
    Zampa
    Lyon
    Maxwell

    Pacers-
    Starc
    Cummins
    Hazlewood
    Coulter Nile
    Stoinis
    Jhye Richardson

They have all angles covered very well with ample bench strength for each position.

Once they reach the knock out round, then they know what it takes to win it all, they will definately start as one of the favourites for Worldcup.

Maxwell has become such an important player for them especially since he's developed his bowling and is smart enough to know he just needs to be accurate to succeed in ODIs.

They have just won back to back series away to India and Pakistan. So they are in great form!

They may have not played against full strength sides but their own team wasn’t full strength either.

What did you expect? They're always prepared. They test players through the 4 years to build strength and put it all together in the end.

What's surprising is this time Pakistan actually has some sort of structure and organization this time. Probably the first time since 99. We're lacking a bit in late order hitting and spin department but know our strengths and weaknesses and haven't just thrown a random team together like we did for the past four.

Australia has and will always be a great team. They have the passion, structure and resources to excel in cricket. Its a complete package.
