Pakistan A took on Pakistan in a T20 encounter today. Pakistan A was captained by Misbah Ul Haq and coached by Ijaz Ahmed.

Pakistan A’s fast bowling attack consisted of Irfan, Sohail Khan and Umar Gul along with Raza Hasan as their main spinner.

Pakistan batted first opening with Kamran and Kahild, they put up around 160 with the help of half centuries by the Akmal brothers.

Sohail Khan took 3 wickets and Irfan and Raza took 1 each. Irfan bowled 3 overs and went for around 30 runs for his 1 wicket.

Pakistan A opened with Hafeez and Butt against Pakistan’s pace attack of Aamer, Asif and Razzaq. Hafeez left early whilst Butt stuck around to run out Misbah Ul Haq. Hammad Azam was in next but didnt last long bringing Ahmed Shahzad to the crease. Butt made 40-odd runs before he was run out bringing Sarfaraz Ahmed to the crease.

The last over saw Pakistan A needing 9 runs and Ahmed Shahzad and Abdul Rehman took them home.

I just got off the phone with Irfan, he was really excited about the Pakistan A team winning the game and said that he could’ve bowled better himself.
