The second T20 game between Pakistan and Pakistan A took place today. Pakistan batted first and put up a mammoth total of 230 losing only 3 wickets in the process. Kamran Akmal and Shahzaib Hasan both scored fast fifties with Umar Akmal’s 45-odd being the 3rd highest score. Afridi came in at number 3 and made a trademark 30-odd score himself.

The only Pakistan A bowlers to escape the punishment were Mohammad Irfan and Yasir Shah who both gave away 33-odd runs in their 4 overs for no wickets. Talha was bowling with fiery pace and started off really well but Umar Akmal flayed him off his last over for 20-odd runs. Talha, Hammad and Rehman all went for 50 or so runs each.

Pakistan A’s chase began well with Salman Butt striking a belligerent 70 or so runs off around 50 balls. Salman had limited support with around 20 runs each from Azhar Ali, Fawad Alam and Nasir Jamshed but in the end it was never going to be enough. Pakistan A scored 195 runs in their 20 overs for the loss of half a dozen wickets.

Aamer and Afridi took a wicket each but overall the Pakistan bowling wasn’t much better than Pakistan A’s because they conceded 5 runs short of 200 themselves.
