Who is your favourite Qur'an reciter??

My top 3 are

Sheikh Saud Al-Shuraim
Sheikh Abdul-Rahman As Sudaes
Qari Abdul Basit Abdul Samad

I also love the way Sheikh Mahir Al Muayqali reads. (he is also leading Taraweeh prayers in Masjid Al Haram this year).

None can beat the late great Qari Abdul Basit [A.R]

Current ones include also - a student of the late great.

This young Qari Hasan bin Abdullah Al Awadh also has an amazing voice.

I'd replace your third one with Salah al- Budeer. Imam in Madinah. Has a voice full of pain..
Sheikh Mahir is new but he is terrific. has got very 'karak' talaffuz. Magnificent...

Qari Saad Nomani, famous for his ability to imitate many world renown Qari.

A personal favourite recitation of mine by Qari Abdul Basit. Allah indeed blessed him with such an amazing voice.

Qari Muhammad Uthman Al-Qasim - Surah Al-Qiyamah

A great reciter from England, his mother passed away from cancer just over a week ago. May Allah have mercy on her and her son Qari Uthman lead her funeral prayer which was one of the most emotional funerals with the number of the duas the son made for his mother during the janaazah prayer. His other brother Qari Umar Muhammad Al Qasim was leading the prayers at the Sheikh bin Baz masjid in Makkah this year when he heard the news. Allah has blessed their family, with knowledge and love of the Quran. Their mother taught them from a young age and their father is an Imam who is a close family friend. I met him last night and he told me how his wife and mother had been very close and how for the last 30 odd years his mother and her used to wake each up for tahajjud every night.

A few years ago, Sheikh Abdur Rehman as Sudais came to the UK and was in Oldham and before his bayaan started they asked Qari Umar to recite the Qur'an and I remember the Sheikh was crying all the way through it.

Sheikh Abu Bakr Ash Shaatiri (although i much prefer his earlier recitations from the mid 90's)
Sheikh Muhammed Rifat was really good too but not much of him at his best is available as he was born in the late 19th century so almost all of his recording are when he was around 50yrs old but many Egyptians say he was the best they produced and they have produced some amazing voices!

I havent heard much of Sheikh Muhammad Rifat, because like you said most of his available recordings are around 70-80 years old and from those that do exist the audio is in very poor quality.

I love this Surah Rehman recitation by Sheikh Abu Bakr ash Shatri. I think its one of his early ones.

Sheikh Sudais during the everyday salah. I think the recitation he does during the salah is among his best, its different from his world famous taraweeh recitation.

This is one of the best recitations i have ever heard and it is Muhammed Rifat from 1935
