We're just 4 and a half hours away from the first game of the Asia Cup. If anyone has any links then feel free to post them in here.

I wont be able to watch this match but it looks likely to be the debut of Umar Amin. He looked a class player the last time I saw him but that was at u19 level so who knows what he bats like now.

that was an awful drop from Butt. Razzaq was furious. how is this guy going to earn any respect in the team if he fields like that?

just got home. That drop is as woeful as our presidency add to it the flamboyant 0 and you have an article that fulfills the potential that is Butt.

p.s. what captaining genius sent him to long off position in the final 5 overs needs to be given an oscar as well.

Shahzaib looking well out of his depth. he's a dead duck.

it's unfair to both kids that they're batting together. they should be batting with an experienced guy - not each other.

Bloody brilliant knock from Afridi today. Played very sensibly and still he striked above 140. :))
Shame we lost the game though. Only if one of the seniors dug in and made a decent contribution.

Some bad news coming in though. Seems like Mohammad Aamer was caught by the ACU on the phone in the dressing rooms.
I just hope it isn't anything serious - pathetic thing todo anyways...:(

glad there aint many knee jerk reactions, but Salman Butt never dissapoints, I just knew he was going to be out in the first over he faced, he made the debutatant shezaib face the first over because he knew....

Aamir mobile phone is minor, pakistanis make a big deal out of nothing, guess its made a big thing to increase traffic

Razzaq is a matchwinner, but he can not nurdle or rotate the strike, why not hit out then, someone like Hamaad azam, he gets the singles(at u19 anyway) and hits the big shot when required. razzaq is tuk tuk boom

Honestly, im not too sure about shahzaib's technique. i dont think he is capable at this level yet. Big hitting isnt suited for odi game. an opener needs to pace his innings intelligently. shahzaib didnt show much ability. I suggest bringing back kamran akmal to open. he is wasted at no.7!

Don't even know why our fans made a big deal out of Shahzaib; he's a typical galli ka tulla who is not worth investing in. Umar Amin looked fairly decent as far as technique is concerned.

Shoaib bowled really well, in particular to Dilshan. Dropping Ajmal was a mistake, and he should replace Asif in the next match.

I absolutely adore the manner in which I was flamed for saying that Shahzaib isn't cut out for international cricket. No matter, he proved it to the world today with his ungainly technique and poor temperament. It's not the failure to score runs that showed just how poor he really is, rather the fact that he looked more uncomfortable than a Palestinian at a Bar Mitzvah. Azhar Ali or Fawad please.
