I've been a Liverpool fan for over 20 years now, that's even longer than I've been following Pakistan cricket.

Although for the last decade or so I haven't been following the team as religiously as I used to (I still think McManaman, Berger, Fowler and Rednknapp play for us) I still have a soft spot for the reds.

In some ways not following the team that closely is a blessing especially during a season like this one!!

It's easy to point the finger at the board for the current state of affairs at anfield, however I feel the problem for me lies with Rafa, he's spent millions on avarage players who haven't been able to step up to the plate (Lucas Leiva, Ryan Babal) who are a few players who have potential to become good decent players but they just don't seem to be cutting it.

From an Arsenal fans prospective, I'd say stick with Rafa :D

Im a die hard Celtic fan and feel liverpool are my 2nd team.

Been to watch a few games at Anfield.

Was at the last Celtic V Liverpool game, the atmosphere was electric.

Sad to see Liverpool having a tough time in the league.

    Your views on Rafa, Merc?

Well guys, I think Rafa should go at the end of the season. Not because of the poor performance but because of how stubborn he's been about the poor showing.

I think we need someone who can get the best out of guys like Gerrard and Torres

Any suggestions to which manager would get the best out of Garrard and Torres?

Jose Mourinho has been linked with the job during the past couple months, I for one would welcome his return.

Oh well let me fill you in Merc.

Liverpool haven't won a league title for 19 years going on 20. In that time they've been overtaken as England's biggest club by a certain Manchester United. You may have heard of them.:D Only last year Utd equalled Liverpools record of 18 league titles. They're now bidding for a record breaking 19th title. Liverpool are 6th.

No need to thank me for the recap.:D

    Juggernaut,

Won't you say that its more difficult for a team to win the league with a new manager at the helm? SAF been manager of Man U for over 20 years, once you start winning and get in the grove, you get better at it, I'd be surprised if UTD finish in the top 4 when SAF retires, remember you heard it here first!

Liverpool all the way, when was the last time the Devils beat Liverpool??

Did you say Utd just reached 18 league titles? You took your time catching us up. We've been there and done that many years ago.

We had to stop to let someone catch up. Otherwise we'd have made it impossible for anyone to reach us. Look how many years it took you to draw level.

Liverpool had a small surge this millenium after having a cracking 1980's and 1990's.

Looking at them play last season and where they finished, I feel that they are more and more likely to stop being a top four side.

I also feel that Gerrard is likely to leave as due to his age it really is now or never. I am a United fan and it gives me joy seeing them in anysort of turmoil.

Looking forward to the new season, things are looking bright for a change, Suarez and Carroll have bought a little excitement to the team, hope King kenny brings back the glory days for us. YNWA
