So Pakistan have just won the first 2 test matches vs England. This is making me wonder whether Pakistan are among the best 2-3 teams in the world. I remember many people commentating and saying before this series that Pakistans revival over the last year was nothing exceptional as it came against weaker teams (Sl, BD, NZ). But now having won the no.1 team convincingly in the first test and then edging Eng out in the second I wonder whether this team is really anything special. What do you guys think. Where does this Pakistan team really stand?

    1) Junaid is still part of the team, whether he played good or not.

    2) You can not judge him from 1 match.

    3) He has not even been given a proper chance.

    4) How can you say 'poor bowling' to him when he only bowled 8 overs?

    5) He's a tail-ender, what do you expect?

Rael deal? if we beat england, Oz or RSA at home on a lively pitch convincingly i'll give them another look but right now they just seem like average pakistan....batting still seems fragile despite Azhar ali and shafiq.

Agreed. We ought to not Get carried away here, we have the potential but it's all about converting that potential to success. The real test will be when pakistan play away on conditions which aren't to their liking.

Not best pleased with Pakistani fans hounding all these pundits on twitter about their prodictions, comments etc.... Just enjoy the moment.

I seriously think that this Pakistan team would give a good challenge to Eng, Aus and even SA on their pitches. Just look at Pakistan's performance in sydney, Headingley, the oval and even lords tests. They put up such good fights in those matches albeit all the under performing and the cheating going on. I just wonder how a stable and committed Pakistani team like this one would do on foreign pitches. They certainly wouldn't be disgraced like they were in the past

Some people are underrating Pakistani seamers on those pitches

we have Junaid, Wahab, Talha and even Cheema will be handful on those pitches.

also ajmal, it doesnt matter where he play, against which team he play, he is the main man.

So very true.. Pakistan still has pacers who can bowl exceptionally well on lively pitches. Also Ajmal would be more than a handful on English pitches whether there's turn or not. After all there was no turn in Dubai and he got 10 wickets...
