After a terrible run of form during the test match series, Hafeez rebounded with an all-round performance which nabbed him the man of the match award ahead of Gul. On any other day Gul's 5 wickets for 6 runs would have been a guarantee for the MOM.

What do you think we did right and what did we do wrong?

Hafeez and Shehzad set it up. AB was always going to be the key for South Africa and once he was dismissed it was all over.

This win and Hafeez performance has made his case of captaincy in odis even more stronger.

Team looked completely diff than what it was in tests..

We will have a different side in ODI's. I'm sure SA will also play stronger team.

I didn't say anything about his selection in t20's. Since he will be playing ODI's;i wish him all the best.

Well, technically the best all-rounder today was Hafeez....

Oh, shut up, you're another hater who hates Afridi for no reason. Predicting ducks, hating him as a whole

And yes, his runs at the end dealt damage, or else Saffers would have gone in on a high

His mere presence on ground was enough to demoralize Saffers

Such is the power of the beast!

Yeah, call me troll, won't change the fact that you were wrong. You could see the fear visible on the bowlers face when he bowled to Afridi. Even Hafeez on 80 odd couldn't invoke that

Pitch looked completely different too :p

South Africa doesn't really have a world beating bowling attack in limited overs cricket, and this pitch was flat. Overall I fancy Pakistan winning the series marginally even if styne comes back, given that we see similar pitches in at least 4 Odis. I think we should go with the same batting line up, except for adding misbah in the middle. Jamshed, shehzad and hafeez look in terrific form. Umar Akmal was once again dancing on the pitch as if it's a dance floor. Did anyone see how easy it was for shahzad to hit the ball? He immediately understood that this is a stand and deliver pitch, just stand back of the crease and hit the ball. He passed it onto hafeez and he immediately adjusted aswell. But lo behold, our young and talented akmal couldn't understand this, was dancing again, and got out by pulling a bouncer on front foot.

Malik, Umar needs to sit out, misbah and shafiq must come in. Afridi is seriously not going to contribute more than 25 in an innings in this series, he is seriously not in the form or physique to do it anymore. He is still a handy bowler. Kamran dropped a Dolly, don't know what to do! Junaid was fanfckntastic, Irfan bowled some really good yorkers! Gul was at his t20 best, we should not change the bowling combination again pls! Even play them with bit of a niggle. I think we can push south Africa in this series, just need to choose the right ppl!

    Shehzad
    Hafeez
    Asad
    Misbah
    Kamran

Was anyone else a little disappointed that we didn't cross that 200 mark? Or even set a new record for highest T20 team total for Pakistan?
