Ever since the emergence of Ajmal as a star limited overs bowler we've started to go into games with a 2nd spinner in place of a 4th seamer/all-rounder like a Razzaq or a Rana.

If Ajmal was a more assured batsman or if one of our batsmen could bowl a bit of medium pace then this wouldnt be a problem. However that's not the case, so we end up being left a bit short on the seam bowling side if someone has a bad day.

Do you think Rana or Aamer's all-round ability should get them into the XI or should we stick with Ajmal who has been troubling teams in limited overs cricket?

I don't think Aamer is in the team due to his all round ability, he was included in as a bowler what he has done with bat so far is just bonus as for Rana I do not think that he is a good enough international class bowler, he just seems to give away to many hit me deliveries which results in transfer of momentum very quickly.

PS. Younis can bowl medium pace (why hasn't he bowled since SriLanka test series?

Younis did bowl during the domestic match and from what I can remember he took a few wickets in both innings. I don't feel Yousef has the confidence in Younis to give him the ball.

I would take the likes of Razzaq/Rana over Ajmal any day of the week unless we are playing in Dubai.

I have never found anything special about Ajmal. Far as I am concerned he is only good on wickets he can spin the bowl a bit which happened a lot for Afridi and him in Dubai...luckily those pitches spin wickets Pakistan don't even do that.

Anyway he can take handful of cheap wickets when people are trying to hit him out of the park at tests and ODI's his not good enough.

I remember when were winning under Inzi...we batted really well. Great lower order hitting etc.

As for Rana isn't good enough. LOL :)

That's a good point, I forgot about Younis and his useful medium pace. We really need to make more use of YK. He needs to bowl at least 5 overs per game.
