So finally he has done it. The whole of Sri Lanka was waiting for it. And he gets it with the last ball of his Last Test match.

It will be reasonable to say, that this record is there to stay. Nobody's gonna break this record, considering the fact that Test Cricket isn't on the priority list of many nations now..

So well done Murali. Extremely proud that an Asian has the honor..

He was a spin magician and deserved to achieve the 800 wicket mark. His last test and the last wicket to go in the test. The catch taken by another SL great..Jayawardene.

One of the all time greats from the modern era. Its great to see that he took his last 8 wickets against the "number 1" team in the world. India got hammered.

I cant see Mendis even coming close to Muralitharan. The only thing he has is being classed as a "mystery" bowler. Such a mystery in fact that Sri Lanka have "tactically" rested him on occasions so people dont get used to his bowling so he can be used as a secret weapon. lol
