It was that magical Inzy knock but it was in September 2003 and not 2004.
I think Bangladesh have been busy when we're free and vice versa. The only reason I'd want to see us play Bangladesh in a Test series if we were guranteed lots of debuts. Bangladesh aren't the pushovers they used to be so a series against an inexperienced Pakistan team would be quite close and worth watching. |

Imran Nazir but then he is also on the borderline of being reckless at the same time.
Sehwag is also another, Hayden and Gilchrist both used to walk down the track to the new ball. *the last 3 are not pakistani

Nazir's second test match (at 18 years old) was in Barbados against Walsh and Ambrose. In the first innings Pakistan were bowled out for 253 and they went into their second innings trailing by 145 runs. This was at a time when the Windies were still one of the best teams in the world and nearly unplayable at home. Nazir played an amazing innings of 131 and Pakistan ended up declaring with a lead of 274 but unfortunately the match ended in a draw. That innings alone has kept selectors calling back Imran Nazir and Imran Khan raving about his talent to boss around guys like Ambrose and Walsh at 18 years old. Unfortunately for Pakistan Nazir caught Afriditis (a bit like Ashraful has) and decided he would rather hit the ball out of the park like a crazy man than utilise his God given talent and develop into a solid batsman. Overall Tamim has a better record in Tests but then Tamim has played 19 matches and Nazir has only only played 8. Betweeen the two I think Tamim is a much better batsman because Nazir has wasted his gifts whilst Tamim seems to be knuckling down and converting his raw talent into solid performance! |

The Akmal brothers are as daring. Although Kamran isn't very consistent he's played some really great match winning/saving innings in his test career so far.

Like Gilchrist said in an interview he used to just hit the ball as hard as he could and hope it beat the fielders, he didn't usually try and place the ball in the gaps, and this worked for him perfectly and he has been among the best openers in the game with solid performances in all three formats of the game. The problem i see with Nazir is after hitting a couple of boundaries he gets a bit carried away (Afridi-itis). But he is one of the few players in our side that try and make use of the powerplay so has been kept in the side for so long. The others are just too scared to open and when they do open are waiting for the powerplay to be over so the fielders can move back so they can take singles. If you notice the run rate graph in virtually every match you will see how low the run rate is compared to after the powerplay overs. Pakistani still haven't seemed to realize that the powerplay is there to aid the batsman.
