Younis wants a quick decision on his appeal against ban

Karachi: Banned Pakistani batsman Younis Khan is pushing for a quick decision on his appeal against an indefinite ban imposed on him by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the player's lawyer said on Monday.

"My client wants his ban to be revoked and decision should be taken as soon as possible on it," said Ahmed Qayyum, Younis's lawyer.

"So far we have not received any official notification from PCB regarding appointment of Justice R. Irfan Qadir to hear the appeal," added Qayyum.

Younis was banned last month when the PCB punished seven of Pakistan's leading cricketers in the aftermath of a catastrophic tour of Australia. The former Pakistan captain was banned for an indefinite period for 'infighting' along with another ex-captain Mohammad Yousuf.

Younis, meanwhile is hoping to make his international return soon.

"I have not heard anything about the hearing from PCB yet. I am still waiting and whenever they will call, I will go." Younis said he is keeping himself fully fit as there are chances of him being recalled for a marathon tour of England this summer.

"I am practicing as I always have done. I am not one of those who will sit around when not playing."

Good to see Younis Khan keeping himself fit. I've always supported him and In my opinion, I feel he was very hard done by.
I hope the ban is overturned and he returns for the Test Series against Australia and England this summer, Insha'Allah.

He was surely hard done and got some harsh treatment but let's hope he can get over this hurdle and we can hopefully see him back playing test cricket for Pakistan in England during the summer, InshahAllah.

ban or no ban, Younis should get help for his mental problems before coming back into the team. he needs to see a shrink and work through his numerous issues.

time to get some cricket talent from Aitchison, etc and choose a captain from there. enough of these lallu panjus from galli muhallas...
